dreams

so it's been such a long time since i've written in this blog. so many things have been happening before my eyes, i don't know if i want it to slow down, if i want it to go faster, but in the end i just become very tired and look forward to good night's rest. i am not as productive as i wish i could be.

i seem to want change in my life, but i am somehow unable to accomplish what i know is best for me. i see a life in my future: a better person, more mature, more profound, and i lose thought of my present, who i am now. i need to start managing my time correctly, to evaluate what is most important, and to give to God what is His, meaning everything. Amidst my run-on sentences, i am excited about what is to come, but that is only if i accomplish my goals to complete the necessary requirements allowing my so-called "dreams" to come true. sounds like an bad case of a disney movie.

yet, what are my dreams about? what do i want my future to become? how do i want to leave my mark in this world? last night, i got a chance to hear Erwin McManus speak at the Fusion Conference. the one statement that really caught my ear was a hypothetical question. he challenged us: "Imagine if your dreams for your life were to come true. If those dreams became reality, did it leave an impacting mark on this world?". i took a good amount of time thinking about this subject. i know God has a distinct purpose in my life and truly i feel Him slowly pushing the fact to make me someone who will not just claim to know God, but truly become His hands and feet. Conflict, like what Donald Miller said last night, is essential for the hero to develop and become selfless to the deeds he does. I see my friends with perfect lives and a future before them which is destined to give them riches and fame. I am no longer jealous of them. I sure used to be. But now i see God has placed a burden on my heart, so that I can become a better person. to become refined.

"I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"
Mark 9:24.

Again, some great music from a man called Bon Iver.
